Money Matters: Your Path to Financial Confidence
We built this program because too many people feel overwhelmed by their finances. Not because they aren't capable, but because nobody taught them the practical stuff. Over six months, you'll work through real scenarios—the kind you actually face when deciding whether to buy a house or how to handle an unexpected bill.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff
You won't sit through lectures about compound interest formulas. Instead, we walk through situations you'll recognize from your own life. The program runs from September 2025 through February 2026.
Real Scenarios
Each week centers on something specific—like figuring out if you can afford that car loan, or what to do when your partner wants to combine finances. We use actual numbers from Australian households.
Small Groups
You'll be in a cohort of twelve people. That's it. Everyone gets to ask their questions, share what they're struggling with, and learn from each other's experiences without feeling lost in a crowd.
Check Your Work
After each session, you'll apply what you learned to your own situation. Then we review it together the next week. No grades, just feedback on whether your approach makes sense for your circumstances.
What You'll Cover Across Six Months
Getting Clear on Where You Stand
We start by mapping your current financial picture—not to judge it, but to understand it. You'll track spending for three weeks, then learn to spot patterns that might be working against you. By the end of this phase, you'll know exactly where your money goes.
Creating Your Safety Net
This is where we talk about emergency funds, insurance that actually matters, and how to handle debt without feeling paralyzed. You'll build a savings strategy that fits your income—whether you have or 0 to put aside each month.
Making Bigger Decisions
Now we tackle the longer-term questions. Should you buy property or keep renting? How do super contributions actually work? What about that side business idea? You'll learn to evaluate these decisions based on your specific situation, not generic advice.
Who Runs the Sessions
These aren't celebrity financial gurus. They're professionals who've spent years helping regular people sort out their money. Each brings different perspectives from working across various life stages and income levels.

Desmond Thorne
Budgeting and debt management strategies

Lennox Winters

Marlowe Chen

What to Expect If You Join
The program starts in September 2025. You'll meet once a week for two hours, either Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings. Between sessions, expect to spend about three hours on your own work—reviewing your finances, trying new approaches, preparing questions.
This isn't about becoming a finance expert overnight. It's about building confidence in handling your money decisions over time. Results vary because everyone's situation is different—but you'll leave with clearer understanding and practical tools.
